This underground district steam distribution project upgraded a major section of the system between Vaults D220 and D250. The scope included the removal of failing FRP condensate mains, re-insulation of steam mains, installation of new pre-insulated stainless steel condensate mains, and structural repairs to steam vaults.
To minimize disruption, the project incorporated comprehensive traffic control measures, road detours, and temporary closure of a campus entrance road. Close coordination with SUNY ESF College ensured smooth execution and campus safety throughout the construction.
