Our firm provided civil engineering services for the Miron Victory Court addition to the JMA Wireless Dome, serving as a subconsultant to Populous. Our scope included site design, utility services, underground chilled water systems, and the design of exterior snowmelt systems at the entrances to Victory Court.
The snowmelt system features underground PEX tubing, manifolds, pumps, and heat exchangers that circulate a propylene glycol solution to heat the exterior concrete sidewalks and brick paver entrances. This system reduces the need for manual snow removal at these entrances, allowing facilities crews to focus on other areas of campus. Additionally, it offers fans a clean, safe entry experience without the tracking of de-icing salts into the Dome.
